Eight weeks, opened on Mondays

Python and Machine Learning from Zero is written at a high-school reading level. Python comes first, then data, then a first model written by hand.

A sample course, right now

The sample course opens Monday, October 26, at 8:00 AM Central. A new week opens every Monday after that.

Sample start date: 2026-10-26. Not a real cohort.

  1. Week 1

    Start here

    This course starts from zero.

    Opens Monday, 8:00 AM Central

  2. Week 2

    Making decisions with if

An if statement lets your program choose.

    Opens Monday, 8:00 AM Central

  3. Week 3

    Functions in depth

A function lets you give a name to a piece of work, so you can use it again without copying it.

    Opens Monday, 8:00 AM Central

  4. Week 4

    Dictionaries and tuples

A list finds things by position. A dictionary finds things by name.

    Opens Monday, 8:00 AM Central

  5. Week 5

    Summarizing numbers

A good first look uses a few numbers that sum up many numbers.

    Opens Monday, 8:00 AM Central

  6. Week 6

    What is machine learning?

Instead of typing the rule, you show the computer many examples and let it find a pattern that works.

    Opens Monday, 8:00 AM Central

  7. Week 7

How far apart are two examples?

Find the example in the training set that looks most like the new one, and copy its label.

    Opens Monday, 8:00 AM Central

  8. Week 8

Judging a model and reading its mistakes

This week is about the most important skill in machine learning: telling how good it really is.

    Opens Monday, 8:00 AM Central

How a week works

Opens on Monday

Each weekly unit opens Monday at 8:00 AM Central. Instructors post announcements and can see how far everyone has got.

Python runs in your browser

Exercises run in your own browser, so your code never runs on Rowmio's servers. You submit your Python notebook as text. The browser result is practice feedback, and your instructor's mark is the grade.

def average(numbers):
    return sum(numbers) / len(numbers)

print(average([150, 160, 155]))
# practice result: 155.0

Graded the moment you finish

Quizzes are auto-graded, so a result is waiting when you submit. No one has to be awake for it.

A person reads your work

Text activities get feedback from your instructor and a reviewed mark. Instructors see your progress, so they know who needs a note.

Five questions, plain answers

Is it free?

Rowmio is an invite-only pilot, and pricing is not set yet.

Who is it for?

Adult learners who are invited by their instructor. The first two courses are Introduction to AI and Python and Machine Learning from Zero.

What happens to my code?

It runs in your browser. What you submit is saved as text for your instructor. The practice result you see is not your grade.

How do I sign in?

There is no password. Rowmio emails you an 8-digit code that expires in 10 minutes. Instructors add a second step.

Who built it?

Cyntraix, LLC in Birmingham, Alabama. Rowmio is its own product.
